With China importing an increasingly higher volume of fresh fruits from Latin American countries, local growers and exporters are investing in better and more functional fruit processing facilities, in order to provide premium products to this important market.

Following a growing number of inquiries, 3 years ago, the Chinese fruit processing line innovator, Jiangxi Reemoon Technology Holdings Co., Ltd., established its Latin American office, which supports local companies with cutting-edge technologies for fruit selection and packing processes.

The Reemoon Latin American office is lead by Vincent Zhang and Julio Pino Iturriaga. The office is located in Chile, where Vincent and Julio are now supported by several local technicians and sales staff. “With a local office, we are able to visit companies and provide on time support to clients. It also help us to grow businesses. We now have clients from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, and we are exploring more potential regions.” Vincent said. “We have different types of processing lines suitable for clients’ various needs. So far, we have facilities serving exporters with cherries, apples, avocados, citrus, kiwis, plums and passion fruit products.”

Reemoon is investing substantially in technological research and development every year and has strong technological innovation capabilities. “Last year, we refined and upgraded our optical sorting technology, with a breakthrough for damage and defect sorting technology. As a result, we successfully brought the new Fruscan S7 Series to the market,” Vincent said.

“Fruscan S7 is a self-grown system. Based on the operation experience and different requirements of global customers, Fruscan S7 system equipment continuously meets the new requirements put forward by customers in the field of blemish detection. Reemoon’s cloud can collect product and blemish images uploaded by customers all around the world and, equipped by immense computing power, it constantly updates and improves its blemish models, becoming smarter.

The last project Reemoon carried out at the end of 2021 was a specialized line of cherries (Rainier variety) for ultra-delicate fruit processing. “The line was installed at Tenopack Company, located in Teno, Chile. The company has decided to increase its processing capacity because this exquisite cherry variety is highly appreciated in China, one of the most important markets to the company.”

The General Manager Miguel Angel Lorenzini and the Commercial Manager Hugo Vidal were very satisfied with this new processing line, "the line started to work perfectly from the first day until the end of the season. We are very happy with it. We were also able to count on the availability of daily support from Reemoon's technical staff.”

At the beginning of 2022, Reemoon will be installing and commissioning new projects in Peru, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico.
