It’s almost time to activate our Quantum Leap gears again as NBC’s reboot of the cult classic late 80s-early 90s sci-fi series is returning very soon on our screens. For those who don’t know, Quantum Leap is a science fiction television series, which ran from 1989 to 1993.

It was created by Donald P. Bellisario and starred Scott Bakula as Sam Beckett, who could leap into the bodies of other people to gain insight into their lives and solve problems.

The show was developed from an earlier short-lived NBC series of the same name that aired in 1988, but it was retooled for television. Now, more than 25 years later, NBC has brought back Quantum Leap with a new cast and a new look.

With only a few days to go before the premiere, the first trailer for Quantum Leap has been released and it’s definitely making us want to get our time machines out of mothballs. Check out this article to know everything.

It’s times like these when I think to pursue crazy dreams and make a time machine for myself that would transport me to the happiest era of the 60s and just enjoy tea time with a bunch of girls.

But we all know it happens only in the movies and Quantum Leap has done it! If you’re a fan of ambitious TV shows, particularly picking up on cult classics and that too brilliantly, then this trailer is for you.

The first full-length trailer for NBC’s upcoming sci-fi reboot introduced us to modern day time travellers.

The show will find Lee’s character following in the footsteps of Scott Bakula’s Dr Samuel Beckett as he leaps from life to life, changing history for the better by altering our understanding of it.

The trailer throws Lee who plays Dr Seong back to the ’80s where he is unable to understand any of it.

He checks his ids that turn out with a different name and the photo of a man who seems to appear in the mirrors whenever he takes a look into it.

The trailer also introduces Caitlin Bassett’s portrayal of Addison, who appears as a hologram that only Lee can see and hear.

Like Stockwell’s Al Calavicci in the original series, she serves as his guide/conscience—only this time around it’s no longer strictly one-way communication.

We’ll be able to experience both her pep talks and all manner of funny hijinks through Lee’s reactions alone!

Along with Raymond Lee who leads the shows as Dr ben Seong, the series also includes Ernie Hudson as Herbert “Magic” Williams, Caitlin Bassett as Addison Augustine, Mason Addison Park as Ian Wright and Nanrisa Lee as Jenn Chou.

By the looks of the trailer, the series looks like a second attempt on the original show. So many instances from the previous show including the famous Swiss cheese memory problem.

The series is sure to bring nostalgia from the 90s. The series is set to premiere on September 29th on NBC.
