April 22, 2022: The date that I've officially seen it all.
In a wild video that runs just over a minute, you'll find an internationally famous chef, a gold-encrusted cut of meat, amused waitstaff, a smoking vase, a former Fall River mayor and a Fall River real estate agent.
If you're from Fall River and have yet to hear the name Nathan "Sho'Nuff" Carroll, then chances are you live under a rock.
Real estate is a hot career right now and it seems many people are jumping ship from their 9-to-5 jobs to get their licenses to sell houses and properties. However, Carroll has been in the game long enough to claim he is now a "lion" among the cubs of the real estate industry. At least that's his motto.
On Thursday night, "Sho'Nuff" celebrated his team's success in Boston at Nusr-Et Steakhouse, home to the legendary Turkish chef Nusret Gökçe, known to millions online as "Salt Bae."
He met up with a close friend of his, attorney and former Fall River mayor Will Flanagan (seen on the right side of the video), who watched as Carroll recorded the most legendary experience I've witnessed in a while.
Imagine waiting for a $1,100 bone-in Wagyu tomahawk ribeye encrusted with a 24-karat gold leaf. This was the appetite Carroll was flexing. Hey, if I had the funds, I'd be right there with him.
"The flavor was top-notch," Carroll told Fun 107. "I’d do it again."
In case you're wondering what that smoke-filled vase was in the video, it turns out it was there for presentation as the tomahawk was fileted. My first thought was that it contained some fancy, expensive tequila, but Mr. Sho'Nuff said he enjoyed a simple Corona.
As "Salt Bae" sliced and diced the expensive piece of meat, then dangled it over Carroll's mouth, his staff looked on with excitement.
"I was actually there to meet with someone about doing a reality show," Carroll said. "He knows Salt Bae and set it up for me so I can help promote myself."
Carroll claims his team, The Echelon Group at Lion Gate Real Estate, had a successful year, so celebrations are in order.
The video might be over-the-top, but it's goals for those who strive to be the best they can be. You just have to be hungry enough.
