Awareness vehicle on 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign flagged off

Under the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, an awareness vehicle was dispatched in Ranchi district to make people aware about the tricolour campaign -- Har Ghar Tiranga. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ranchi, Rahul Kumar Sinha flagged off the awareness chariot from the Collectorate premises on Saturday.

During this, District Program Manager, Jharkhand Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS) Divya Deep Singh, Sakhi Mandal Didian and JSLPS personnel were present. Through awareness vehicles, people will be made aware about the tricolour campaign and respect for the national flag from August 13-15. People in urban areas can also get the flag by giving cooperation money through awareness chariots.

A stall has been set up by JSLPS on the Collectorate premises. The tricolour made by the Didis of Sakhi Mandal is available in the stall where from 10 am to 5 pm, the people of Ranchi can get the tricolour by giving a contribution amount of Rs 20, whereas in rural areas free flags will be provided.

Sinha visited the stall and saw the tricolour made by the Didis and talked to them. He said that to commemorate 75 years of independence, the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence is being celebrated all over the Country. “Under this festival, a resolution is being taken to hoist the tricolour in every house. The preparations for making flags on such a large scale are being done by the Didis of Sakhi Mandal of JSLPS. Flags will be hoisted in every house through this medium as well as arrangements for good livelihood will be ensured to all the sisters of Sakhi Mandal,” he added.

The DC also said, “I would request everyone to cooperate with these didis. Flags are being produced on a large scale by working hard. If the people of Ranchi take a single flag from them by giving their contribution, then they will get financial strength.” While appealing to the residents of Ranchi, Sinha said that from August 13 of this year to the coming days, definitely take a pledge to hoist the flag in your house. Create such an occasion that the name of our country is illuminated all over the world, everyone knows that the flag is being hoisted in every house during Amrit Mahotsav, he added.

DPM, JSLPS, Singh informed that a total of 10 lakh flags were ordered to be prepared. “Flag making work is being done in the production unit set up in Serd, which is run by the DidiS of Sakhi Mandal. The coordination has been established by JSLPS with all the districts, if there is more production of flags in any district, it is also being made available to other districts,” he added.

DPM JSLPS said that the flag is being given in the village by cutting machine, the sisters who sew at home are doing the sewing work. “JSLPS has been given a target to deliver the flag to every household in rural areas. The flag is to be delivered to every house free of cost Sakhi Mandal and village organization. The door to door flag distribution campaign will start in rural areas from August 9. At present, an awareness campaign is being conducted in rural areas to make the Independence Day Har Ghar Tiranga program a success. Every day rallies are being taken out from village to village. Under the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, an awareness vehicle was dispatched in Ranchi district to make people aware about the tricolor campaign at Har Ghar,” he added.
